 THIS IS A 4WD TRIP THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED
If you want the very best in four wheel driving &
scenery or perhaps you are looking for a special holiday, maybe
that once in a life time experience. Then this is the tour for you.
You can look no further than the Victorian High country for all
those great experiences that owning a 4WD can give.
The
Victorian High country is commonly regarded as Australia's premier
four-wheel drive destination. We offer two separate tours in this
region, Tour A is an 8 day tour and Tour B is a 5 day tour. They
are distincly & individually unique. Both itineraries provide
easy, well paced tours that all will remember for years to come.
Along the way, we will guide you through the wonderland that is
the magnificent Victorian High country.
Starting
in the beautiful township of Bright in Victoria we travel to places
like the Buckland Valley, the Buffolo River, Mt Hotham, the Wonnangatta
Valley, Dargo, Mt Stirling to name a few. You'll also visit many
places of historical interest and see how the pioneering cattlemen
lived in this magical but often harsh part of Australia when we
visit a number of famous high country huts. We visit Craig's hut,
made famous by the movie, the man from snowy river.
During
this fantasic tour, apart from the places of interest, you will
also experience a wide range of off-road driving conditions (but
not extreme) The steep ridge lines & numerous water crossings
are guaranteed to keep the most adventurous spirit happy. As we
travel you will marvel at the ever changing vista of changing scenery
from lofty vantage points. Ample time will be allowed for photo
shoots and refreshment breaks. Each day we will see a different
campsite (arrival time depending on conditions), at least one location
will see a lunchtime arrival to allow you to explore further on
foot, walk to a mountain summit, visit beautiful waterfalls or just
simply catch your breath. Another highlite is dinner at the infamous
Dargo pub. Tour dates are calculated to take advantage of the best
weather conditions.
