Join us on a weekend in the majestic mountains of the South Burnett and the coast range, west of Gympie. Explore the valleys that are hidden there and wonder at the evidence of times gone by. The valleys and surrounding hills were extensively prospected or mined for gold, copper and tin.
You may like to try your hand at panning for gold at one of our stops, with expert instruction on hand.

The flora in the region is truly amazing, where sights such as complete mountainsides covered in grass trees are common. You will travel into private property to an area once known to the locals as Bottle tree scrub. There is evidence as well of the efforts of the early cattleman in the district. The high mountain ridges provide breath-taking views and at times the track follows the knife edged ridge tops and sections of the Bicentennial trail.

As well as everything else the tour has to offer, it also provides customers with some awesome four wheel driving, a great spot with excellent facilities for the nights stop and the opportunity to mingle with the locals in the evening.

This is a tour close to Brisbane and should not be missed.
